If you are traveling to the Netherlands for a stay of up to 90 days, for example for a vacation, business trip or family visit, follow the steps below to apply for a Schengen visa in Tunisia.

Pre-check: Check if you need a visa for the Netherlands and where to apply for it.

Gather the necessary documents: A certain number of documents are necessary to apply for a Schengen visa. The list of these documents varies depending on the purpose of your stay in the Netherlands.

Make an appointment: When you have gathered all the necessary documents for the Schengen visa application, make an appointment with VFS Global. Submit your visa application between six months and 45 days before your trip to the Netherlands.

Show up for your appointment: For your appointment with VFS Global, bring all the necessary documents, as indicated on your checklist (see step 2), and this list.

Collection or sending of the passport: When your application has been processed, you will receive an e-mail notifying you without specifying whether the visa has been issued to you. You can collect your passport or have it sent. If you have been issued a visa, it is stamped in the passport.

Preparing for the trip: You are traveling with a Schengen visa to the Netherlands or to another country in the Schengen area. You present the visa on departure and arrival.

Border control also asks you for other documents, indicated in the Travel to the Netherlands checklist.
